Bu Quwah in the Northern Governorate is one of the few villages in Bahrain that still maintains its authentic village life. The area is known for the abundance of palm trees where people grow, care and maintain them. The population of Bu Quwah is around 1500 people; they are mostly Bahrainis but there are 100 to 150 Indian migrants working in road maintenance. The area is located on the east side of Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Highway near the bridge that intersects with AlQadam area. Bu Quwah is bounded to the east by eastern Sehla and to the south by Jeblat Hebshi.
